These curettes, unlike universal ones, are specifically designed depending on the area of the tooth to be worked on. This is because the GRACEY blade is tilted downward at a 70° angle to the terminal shank, creating a lower cutting edge and an upper non-cutting edge.
Also, the different curves of the Gracey curette terminal shanks allow them to work on different areas of the tooth and dental arch. The advantage of using this line of curettes is that they are specifically designed to be used on particular areas of the tooth, allowing for improved adaptation to the root surface and the need for fewer strokes during the process.
NORDENT offers a wide range of GRACEY curettes, with a numbering system to identify different patterns depending on the practitioner's needs:
Easily adapts to the tooth anatomy.
Rigid terminal shank and wide blade, ideal for periodontal surgery.
The terminal shank is 3 mm longer than the standard Gracey, improving access to deep periodontal pockets.
These have a shorter and narrower blade, with a terminal shank that is 3mm longer than the standard Gracey. Excellent for periodontal maintenance in deep pockets.
Gracey Patterns 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6
Gracey Patterns 11-12 or 15-16
Gracey Patterns 13-14 or 17-18
