MIMOCARDIO. TAKE CARE OF YOUR GUMS

With the aim of promoting cardiovascular health at the dental clinic, the Spanish Society of Periodontology (SEPA) and the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC) working group, are implementing, among others, the “Mimocardio (Pamper your heart). Take Care of Your Gums” project.
One of the activities that has been ongoing since January 2017 is the on-line course “How to promote cardiovascular health at the dental clinic,” whose aim is to raise awareness of the relationship between cardiovascular and periodontal diseases among dentists and dental hygienists via this training programme.
Thanks to the success of its two previous sessions, the third is now being launched and is to start in September.
This course, sponsored by Perio·Aid® and VITIS® gingival, aims to address cardiovascular disease, the most common cardiovascular risk factors and the association between the two diseases, at the dental clinic.
